God's Bailout Plan

In a week of crisis and rescue, of tales of Woe and bailout plans, what would be more appropriate than a reminder of the only true bailout plan that ever worked, and still works for us today.

The present financial crisis is owed in part to disobedience to God's will for us, to coveting more or bigger or brighter, to over-indulging in the self rather than serving our neighbors, in essence, to sin. No amount of government intervention will help with sin. There isn't enough money in all the world's vaults to pay off the debt of sin. But God had a bailout plan.

Romans 3:22-26(NIV) ~"This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—-he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus."

God's Bailout plan is THE BAILOUT Plan. Perhaps its time the country, in fact the world, got on board.
