Well, the weekend will soon be upon us. Some dads and granddads of my church (and their friends) will be making our 3rd annual trek into the wilderness with our children to live outdoors for a night. It really is a fun weekend for all involved, and word has clearly gotten out as we are at (if not over) the campsite's capacity this year!
Many are looking forward to the Saturday night steaks (a new perk this year for the dads) but this will also be the first year that we will be having a Pastor led worship instead of a lay lead devotion and I think that is great myself. It will also be my younger son's first time camping out. His 5-year old brother is a veteran now of the two previous camp outs but this will be the 3-year old's first attempt. Mommy is standing by to run out and get him if he fails...but we are hoping to give mommy the weekend off.
